Sales Support Specialist – Ronkonkoma, NY

What you can look forward to accomplishing
The Sales Support Specialist satisfies all customer requests promptly and professionally, ensuring customers’ needs and expectations are met. The Specialist acts as a key liaison between the customer, the sales and services teams, and the internal organization (including Supply Chain Management, Product Management, Applications Support, etc.). Oversees the order handling process from start to finish.

Roles and responsibilities

  • Order processing that is complex in both products and verification.  Monitoring of open orders through complete ordering process.
  • Proactively asses, clarify and validate customer requirements.
  • Act as a strong liaison between intercompany departments (corporate headquarters and its subsidiaries) and our local customers.
  • Handle various account inquiries, customer complaints and support issues.
  • Proactive engagement of key account contacts for replenishment of consumables
  • Operate and maintain Customer Relationship Management database (new lead management and product inquires for sales force and service engineers).
  • Inbound phone monitoring including fielding customer inquiries, routing to appropriate department as well as order intake over the phone.


Skills and experience that you need to bring to our company

  • College degree (2yr) preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years related experience preferably including a mixture of customer service, sales support and operations.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with customers, field personnel and international colleagues.
  • Ability to prioritize a variety of tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task.
  • Outgoing personality with strong communication skills
  • Effective relationship building, negotiating and reasoning skills; self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Experienced working with a CRM system and the MS Office Applications.

What you can look forward to accomplishing
The Warehouse Specialist is responsible for the movement of goods (materials, components, instruments, etc.) to supply department needs. Also, responsible for adhering to the Standard Operating procedures (SOPs) and/or Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) that are in effect assuring the quality and quantity of products.  We are looking for a motivated, team player who is reliable and possess a strong work ethic. Must also be able to work safely and accurately with a sense of urgency. Oversees the shipping/receiving process from start to finish.

Roles and responsibilities

  • Quickly and accurately receive, process and store incoming product shipments.
  • Ensures shipments are inspected and damages or shortages are noted on trucking company delivery document. Initiates freight claim procedure when necessary. Promptly reports any discrepancies to manager.
  • Verifies vendor part number and determines proper bin number and/or location of incoming products.
  • Knowledge or “know-how” to work with an ERP system to carry out various daily tasks.
  • Prepares, packs, and scans (as appropriate), and stages products for delivery in accordance with established standards (e.g. hazardous materials). Ensures that packaging is sufficient to avoid damage.
  • Assist with loading of delivery vehicles when needed.
  • Processes documentation necessary to ship customer orders (domestic and international), including commercial/proforma invoices, bills of lading, packing lists, small parcel manifests and other necessary documents.
  • Performs periodic cycle counting on assigned items in order to keep accurate records of inventory. Verifies actual counts of stock against computerized records. Investigates and reports discrepancies to manager.
  • Act as a strong liaison between intercompany departments (corporate headquarters and its subsidiaries) and our local customers.


Skills and experience that you need to bring to our company

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Minimum 3 years related experience preferably including a mixture of warehousing, operation and customer service.
  • Basic written and oral communication skills with customers, field personnel and international colleagues.
  • Ability to prioritize a variety of tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task.
  • Outgoing personality with strong communication skills
  • Effective relationship building, negotiating and reasoning skills; self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Experienced with working with a forklift and other industrial warehouse equipment.
  • Flexible work schedule and ability to work overtime as needed (some weekends).
  • Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to work standing for 5-8 hours of the day
    • Ability to lift overhead, horizontal pull/push, reach above shoulder level, climb steps/ladder, kneel/squat and bend over/stoop on a recurring basis
    • Frequent lift/carry packages and products of varying sizes (max 50 lbs).
